Throughout the 2024 fall semester, Hill Communications worked with a new client, King David’s Restaurant. The initial goals of the year were to work heavily with social media, specifically Instagram, and conduct outreach to local news organizations.
Instagram has become the first impression for businesses, and we wanted to ensure the account’s feed was welcoming, informative and engaging to the customers. Reflecting on the work of the past few months, the team within Hill Communications is very proud of the work we have been able to create.
The amazing team working with King David’s Restaurant included Account Supervisor Emina Pasic; Account Associates Julia Martin and Christian Figuero; Intern Yasmina Gail; and I served as Account Executive. Introducing two new series was one of the most exciting aspects of the Instagram re-brand. The first was titled “Taste-it-Tuesday,” where we created a story and showcased a favorite King David’s Dish. The second was “Meme Friday,” which generated a new tone for the profile. In addition to already in-feed content such as customer reviews, these series developed a wider audience and targeted both restaurant locations.
The digital world has become increasingly important for all businesses but benefits restaurants, such as King David’s, to the extreme. Our team has seen firsthand how the influence of social media is prevalent in public relations today. The two new series mentioned above were integrated into the Instagram page through graphics. The entire team became proficient in utilizing Canva and its many different features to help achieve this goal. Developing a brand kit early on was another crucial step toward creating a cohesive feed. The experience each of us received this semester is invaluable. It has been a true pleasure working with King David’s Restaurant.
